When plugged into an electrical outlet (I haven't tried it with the 9v battery yet - is supposed to have less output that way), this unit gives the same professional quality treatment I get at the Chiropractor. The unit controls 8 electrodes at once, each pair of electrodes can be independently adjusted to the intensity you like. The 2" electrodes are great, the extra 12 1.5" electrodes that came with my unit don't stick very well, even if you wet them a little. The 2" electrodes are the way to go. We also ordered the gloves from the same manufacturer. The gloves aren't quite perfected yet. Had to wet them down really well before they would conduct at all.
I've been receiving this type of treatment off & on for a few years now at my chiropractor, my father bought a similar but portable unit (run's off a 9v battery) which I thought I liked until trying this. My dad's unit only controls 4 electrodes, and not independently. Also I can turn his unit up to 100% and still not get the intense contractions I am used to at the chiro. With this unit set at about 33% intensity - I was getting a full intense contraction, and I could adjust the intensity in any area I like during the treatment. It has a timer feature that will let you go for up to an hour, and it has a feature which controls the way that the stimulation is applied. It ranges from a prolonged contraction (15 secs or so) then a rest and repeat, to shorter contraction/rest intervals. The 15 second setting is most similar to what I get at the Dr, so that's what I used at home. After my treatment I went to bed and in the morning woke up feeling so much better - my back was much less stiff than usual. |

| I love this item. This is the best in electronic muscle massage and toning. I had a ToneMaster 2100 which was the best. This is the next generation made by Sonic Technology Products. This unit is even better. Small, compact with self-stick adhesive electrode pads for easy, on the run toning. Especially when I am sitting at my desk. The unit has great features such as a timer, 4 individual staions to work 4 muscle groups and is battery operated. This helps me when sitting on an airplane or cannot get out to exercise. This only thing I can say it try it - the company is very good and easy to work with. |

Over 10 years ago my doctor prescribed a battery operated ems unit. My have the years and technology gone by for the good I might add. After doing alot of research on ems units the past few months narrowed my decision down to this unit and it hasn't disappointed.
The positives:
1) eight electrodes - multiple/people areas can be addressed
2) plug & play and battery operated.
3) powerful - range of low to high very impressive.
4) functional carrying case
5) ez to use
6) priced right - however in the long run quality electrodes will be the biggest cost.
The minor cons:
1) short plug&play wire (extension cord required)
2) timer limit should be more than 60minutes
3) could have come with more starter electrodes
4) no ramp up feature
The unit either provided much relief or completely helped heal a wide range of back, shoulder, neck, thigh, hip, calf and groin problems. This unit is a must have in the ongoing road to recovery from sports and everyday injuries/aches and pains! I also recommend using at least 2+ inch eletrodes. |

I've been searching for a Tens Unit for some time. I finally found one that is a great value for someone looking for help dealing with pain or injuries.
The reviews of this product is one of the reasons I bought it.
I will just add some descriptions that the reviewers have left out.
The carrying case is about the size of a first aid kit or small tool kit.
The device itself is about the size of an average paperback book.
I would recommend on ordering more electrode pads. There are no extra pads. The manual said each pad lasts for about 30 sessions.
I would not walk around with this device in my hand or even try to attach it to a belt. The manual says to get in a comfortable position (aka bed or chair) before you are ready to use. The knobs are easy to move. It would probably send a nice jolt to you even using the battery.

| I love this machine. Its amazing that for such a small box that it has so much power. I leave mine set on about level 3 out of 10. I have been going to the chiropractor for back problems for a few months now, and this is the same type of therapy that he uses. If you have back problems, try this to relieve tension in your back and neck. God bless the person who invented this product. |

Some other full body abdominal exercises for you would be side bridges/planks, Swiss ball bridges/planks, Swiss ball jackknives, Swiss ball rollouts, ab wheels, V-Ups, Bicycles. Yes, core training has progressed a lot over time.
